Information about the IMPEX release 5.1.3

The IMPEX 5.1.3 release

The 5.1.3 release is mostly a bug fix release but some minor features have also been added. Most important bug fixes are the ones for the new TrendMicro AV engine that caused it to not get AV-definition updates in some setups. There is also a fix for customers using the .local domains which caused interoperability problems with the new Sysctl Linux operating system.

ICC changes

  • Updated detect_zip yara rule to avoid triggering on Office documents
  • Show ICC server’s current date and time in GUI under NTP-settings
  • Refreshed Yara view

ICC fixes

  • The PDF-report for a scan cropped the file listing to only one extra page of files

Repo fixes

  • Trendmicro repo sync did not use the configured system proxy
  • Trendmicro repo sync did not use the correct next hop repo server (invalid regexp extraction)
  • The ICC+REPO->REPO->UPDATES repo setup did not work due to a check missing support for that configuration
  • Adjusted repo sync timer so the upstream repo syncs before the ICC or local repo starts its sync

Station fixes

  • Add a workaround for using .local domain
  • Trendmicro update service did not have support for proxy
  • Trendmicro update service did not work with web caches (cloudflare for example)
  • Trendmicro update service logs did not get uploaded in the nightly station log update
  • Offline upgrades did not work due to a missing dependency
  • New installation fixes so AV and OS updates gets downloaded earlier
  • Fix a bug with offline definition updates

Station changes

  • Added station uptime clock to information pages

Documentation

  • Updated documentation in regard to offline stations
  • Added ICC SSH AD login documentation
  • Added section about open-vm-tools for ICC and REPO servers
