We develop cyber security products
because we are security geeks. If you should add up all of us, we have more than 60 years of experience in cyber security as consultants and advisors.
Our product range has come to life because of our own needs. Our web based secure file transfer appliance Deaddrop was invented out of necessity to transfer sensitive and confidential information to clients, who were missing a secure way to receive the data. Our USB kiosk Impex has about the same story, but for movable media, as a versatile tool for perimeter protection.
All our products are developed in Sweden but our customers can be found all over Europe.
We are members of Swedish Software.
We do research in the field of IT security, focusing on finding vulnerabilities and security issues. In our work we research how to perform good protection and defense of IT systems. The result coming from this research is then used as the basis for the development that we do.
The main focus for Sysctl is to work with product development. We have developed two commercial products so far - Deaddrop and Impex. Deaddrop is a tool for secure file sharing and transport of large datasets. It was developed since we needed it inhouse for the consulting business. After some years as an inhouse tool, it was extended and repackaged to become a product. Impex came to life as a result of a large international corporation asking for a solution to handle USB media in a better way.
Development is a continuous process. The existing products get refined and enhanced. New products are planned and are expected to be added to the portfolio in the future.
IT and OT cyber security is central to all the research and development that sysctl performs. The products we develop are in the IT and OT security area. And when we do software development, we eat, breathe and think about security to add layers of security and protection into the software we create.
