Impex release information

Release Type: Patch

The IMPEX 5.8.3 release

This is a patch release fixing an issue with importing scans on the ICC. This was reported to us by a customer after we had already released the 5.8.2 patch release so we are making a new patch release just for this fix. We have not seen this in our development, staging, or production systems but the logs from the customer were clear that it can happen.

ICC fixes

  • Importing a scan where the metadata field for a file was NULL led to an import failure. The fix was to also handle NULL fields, treating it as an empty string when processing the scan report. The stations will continue to try and upload the scan to the ICC and after this patch release it will succeed. No data will get lost.

The system will apply the update seamlessly in the background, ensuring that the latest fixes are in place without any interruption to normal operations.
